Low turnout at Fashola's Polling unit

Reports say that compared to the massive turnout of voters for the March 28th elections at Poling Unit 002 Ward 3 in Surulere, where Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola casts his votes, there has been a low turn out of voters for today's elections. According to News 24, Other poling units visited by News24 Nigeria in Lagos also recorded a low turn out, as INEC officials await voters.

People seem to be less interested in the Lagos governorship poll, a reason that could be attributed to a comment made by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akinolu concerning non indigenes.

The ruler had reportedly threatened that non indigenes in the state who vote against his candidate (APC's Akinwumi Ambode), will die in the lagoon.
