Oronto Douglas, (49) died on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from cancer-related complications, according to Sahara Reporters. He was the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Research, Documentation and Strategy before he passed on.
He reportedly passed away at the State House Clinic in Abuja, according to Vanguard Newspaper.
Douglas, also a close confidant of the President, was said to have been shattered by Jonathan’s loss at the March 28 presidential elections.
He is survived by a wife and children.
