Freedom Cove as it is called is truly a get away from it all. The drama, the hustle and bustle that come along with city life. A couple identified as Wayne Adams and Catherine King created a completely self-sustainable float home consisting of 12 platforms that houses wooden structures, green houses and living spaces all interconnected through a wooden pathway. The magenta and turquoise floating structure, off the coast of Tofino, British Columbia, was built in 1992, and the couple, who have two children, live in the home year round.
The structure is self-sustainable in all ways as they grow their own food, drink water from natural sources and get electricity through solar panels and photo voltaic energy generators. They drink from the rain during winter and drink from nearby waterfalls during summer.
They have lived in this structure for over 20 years, and they say it's an on-going ever changing project. ore photos after the cut
