The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos chapter has reacted to Oba Akiolu's threat to the igbos, asking him to “tender a widely-publicized apology to our people,” saying the Igbos have the right to choose whoever they please in a free and fair election. In a statement by Mr. Chibuzo Azubuike, State Secretary, Ohanaeze said: “Our peoples’ right to freedom of choice, movement, personal liberty, ownership of property is guaranteed under the 1999 Constitution and is not given by the whims or caprice of any individual or group.”
