Lagos State, the most indebted state in the country

This means that the newly elected government have serious work to do.Above is a compiled list of states and the debt they owe. Coming tops is the Center of Excellence, Lagos State, with a debt worth $1,169,712,848.65 (N233.94 billion). Vanguard Newspaper also reports that "The state had also borrowed N167.5 billion from the bond market. Thus, Lagos is owing at least N401.44 billion." Haha, Ambode has a lot to do when he takes over.
A total of 20 states out of the 29 states where governorship elections were conducted will have new persons taking over the government but that may become 21 if Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo loses the supplementary April 25 elections. These 20 newly elected persons will have a lot on their plates when they take over.
